2019 NYSA upcoming events : concerts, group classes

1. Concert at Sunrise (senior living) in Edgewater

on Sun 3/31/2019 at 3 pm  

It will be a great chance for students to provide their talent to the seniors.

Who: Any Students

When: 3/31/2019 3 pm

Students should arrive by 2 pm for rehearsal.

Registration: Simply reply to this email

and write “Sunrise Concert on 3/31/2019, Student’s name, Instrument”

by 3/9/2019

(ex: Sunrise concert 3/31, Joseph Her, guitar)

1) Participants must wear formal suit/dress and shoes.

2) Every Participants will play solo, and the song should be no longer than 3 minutes.

Student can choose any song that they can play confidently.

(You might ask the private lesson teacher.)

3) Participants should prepare introducing themselves.

(ex: Hi my name is Joseph her. Today I will play Minuet by Beethoven. Enjoy my performance!)

 

2. Violin/Piano Group classes

We open group classes for violin & piano students from March.

1) In violin group lessons, students will review music vocabulary, refine techniques,

workand play together as an ensemble, develop leadership skills, and have a good time!

Suzuki Violin group schedule At 6:15 PM on Tuesdays :  3/5, 4/2, 5/7, 6/4

( No Fee for Suzuki violin students )

Violin group schedule At 6:15 PM on Tuesdays :  3/12, 4/9, 5/14, 6/11

Fee for Violin group : $60 (Regular:$100) for 4 Classes

only NYSA students who takes private lessons

 

2) In piano group classes, students will focus on sight reading, ear trainingand music theory with fun!

Piano Group A (Level A,B,C) At 5:15 PM on Wednesdays : 3/13, 4/3, 5/1, 6/5

Piano Group B (Level 1, 2A, 2B) At 5:15 PM on Wednesdays : 3/20, 4/10, 5/8, 6/12

Piano Group C (Level 3 and UP) At 5:15 PM on Wednesdays : 3/27, 4/17, 5/15, 6/19

Fee for piano group : $60 (Regular:$100) for 4 Classes

only NYSA students who takes private lessons

Please Register by 3/16/19

All Group Classes will be 30 minutes~ 45 minutes. It depends on size of the group.

If there are 2~3 students, it will be 30 minutes, if more than 3 students, it will be 45 mins.

 

* Everyone will play Solo for Spring Concert

* Time: 2 pm

Students should arrive By 12:45 pm for the rehearsal.

* Please register by 4/13/2019.

4. 7 weeks Summer Program : 7/8~8/24

Summer Recital : at NY String Academy on Thursday, 8/22/19
